Skincare or the use of beauty products has become increasingly prevalent in today’s society not only among teenagers but also among adult women, where it is now considered a necessity. The need for skincare and cosmetics among wives has become a contemporary discourse within the framework of a husband's obligation to provide for his wife. This study aims to examine the perspectives of both classical and contemporary Islamic scholars regarding the obligation of providing skincare as part of a husband's financial responsibility, as well as the legal context surrounding this issue. This research employs a field study method with a descriptive-qualitative approach. The findings show that in the Banyuwangi District, the provision of skincare products has become a common phenomenon among married couples, reflecting the husband's concern for his wife's appearance and happiness. This falls under the category of tahsiniyyah (complementary needs), which aim to maintain appearance, health, and marital harmony. In some cases, it may also be categorized as hajiyyah (secondary needs), particularly when its use is intended to support comfort, skin health, and reasonable grooming especially if the wife wishes to appear attractive for her husband as part of maintaining marital harmony. This aligns with Islamic values that emphasize justice and wisdom in fulfilling family needs. Thus, the provision of skincare products can be considered part of the husband's responsibility, as long as it remains within reasonable limits and does not compromise the fulfillment of primary necessities
