Abstract

This study aims to examine the strategic role of school principals as digital transformers in leading innovation, strengthening digital human resource capacity, and fostering an adaptive learning culture within schools. Employing a qualitative library research approach, the study synthesizes scholarly literature from accredited national journals, reputable international publications, academic books, and other relevant scientific sources on educational leadership, digital transformation, and educational quality management. The findings reveal that successful digital transformation in schools is built upon three interrelated pillars: (1) developing a clear digital vision and strategic direction for school transformation; (2) enhancing the digital competencies of teachers and educational personnel through continuous professional development; and (3) cultivating a data-driven adaptive learning culture supported by Learning Management Systems (LMS), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). The study further demonstrates that digital transformation extends beyond technological adoption, representing a comprehensive organizational culture change that requires transformational leadership, effective change management, evidence-based decision-making, and sustained human capacity development. Consequently, school principals play a pivotal role as digital visionaries, instructional leaders, and change agents in establishing innovative, collaborative, and adaptive digital schools capable of improving educational quality and equipping students with the competencies required for the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0.
