Rebana Dan Identitas Keislaman Remaja Muslim Perkotaan: Studi Kasus Pembinaan Pendidikan Agama Islam Dalam Membentuk Karakter Remaja Jam’iyyah Al-Muhibbin Demaan Jepara

Rebana activities at Jam’iyyah Al-Muhibbin Demaan in Jepara function as a platform for cultivating the Islamic identity of urban youth. This practice integrates rhythmic drumming with the recitation of shalawat, facilitating the internalization of Islamic educational values through sustained religious engagement. The study applied a qualitative approach with a case study design, employing participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of activities as data collection methods. Findings reveal that consistent practice, repetition of devotional verses, mentorship, and social interaction among participants effectively instill values related to faith, ethics, worship, and social conduct. Therefore, rebana not only develops musical proficiency but also reinforces adolescents’ religious understanding, moral character, and social identity, positioning it as a meaningful and contextually relevant medium for religious education.
