Publication Ethics
Introduction
FAKTA: Journal of Islamic Education is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This statement is based on the principles of transparency, integrity, accountability, and academic honesty in scholarly publishing.
All parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers, are expected to adhere to these ethical standards.
Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original works and have not been plagiarized in whole or in part. All sources and references used must be properly cited.
Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication
Authors should not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to more than one journal or publish substantially similar work in multiple publications.
Authorship of the Paper
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study. All co-authors must approve the final version of the manuscript before submission.
Data Integrity
Authors are responsible for ensuring that the data presented in their manuscripts are accurate, authentic, and obtained ethically. Fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data is strictly prohibited.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Proper acknowledgment must always be given to the work of others. Authors should cite publications that have influenced their research.
Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal relationships that could influence the results or interpretation of their research.
Corrections and Retractions
If authors discover a significant error in their published work, they must promptly notify the editor and cooperate in correcting or retracting the article when necessary.

Publication Decisions
Editors are responsible for deciding which submitted manuscripts should be published based on scholarly merit, originality, significance, and relevance to the journal's scope.
Fair Play
Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on their academic content without discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, religion, institutional affiliation, or political beliefs.
Confidentiality
Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and must not disclose any information to unauthorized parties.
Conflict of Interest
Editors should recuse themselves from handling manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest arising from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with authors or institutions.
Integrity of the Review Process
Editors must ensure a fair, objective, and unbiased peer-review process and take appropriate action when ethical concerns arise.
Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers
Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Peer review assists editors in making publication decisions and helps authors improve the quality of their manuscripts.
Confidentiality
Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and must not share or discuss them with others without editorial authorization.
Objectivity
Reviews should be conducted objectively and supported by clear academic arguments. Personal criticism of authors is inappropriate.
Acknowledgment of Relevant Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published works that have not been cited by the authors and notify editors of any substantial similarity between the manuscript and other publications.
Conflict of Interest
Reviewers should decline to review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest and must not use unpublished information obtained through peer review for personal advantage.
Ethical Responsibilities of the Publisher
The Faculty of Tarbiyah, Islamic Institute of Hasan Jufri Bawean, as the publisher of FAKTA: Journal of Islamic Education, is committed to supporting editorial independence and maintaining academic integrity throughout the publication process.
The publisher ensures that commercial interests, institutional interests, or external influences do not compromise editorial decisions.
Allegations of Research Misconduct
The journal will investigate allegations of research misconduct, including but not limited to:
