Strategi Kepala Madrasah Dalam Meningkatkan Mutu Pendidikan

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of the principal’s strategies in improving educational quality to establish an educational institution capable of producing qualified, competitive, and religiously characterized graduates. This study aims to describe the strategies of the madrasah principal in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational quality improvement at MA Sabilul Muttaqin Suwari. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña through data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that educational quality improvement planning is carried out through the evaluation of previous programs, collaborative work meetings with teachers, the preparation of the Madrasah Work Plan (RKM) and Annual Work Plan (RKT), and the alignment of programs with the madrasah’s vision, mission, and needs. Implementation is conducted through academic supervision, teacher development and competency improvement, MGMP activities and training, strengthening religious culture, improving discipline, and the use of innovative learning methods and media. Evaluation is conducted periodically through evaluation meetings, academic supervision, monitoring of learning administration, assessment of student learning outcomes, and follow-up programs for continuous improvement. Therefore, the systematic, participatory, and continuous-improvement-oriented strategies implemented by the madrasah principal contribute to supporting educational quality improvement at MA Sabilul Muttaqin Suwari.
